All of us love to travel. It’s a way for us to connect with people we would have never met, taste foods we would have never tried, and see sights we would have never seen. But the thing that makes a travel experience an unforgettable memory is if you have a guide who knows the ins and outs of the location you’re visiting. You’ll go from a person with the same picture of the Eiffel Tower hanging in your living room to the talk of the town when people see that incredible photo you took at a secret spot in the Alps.
ALLMYNE has dozens upon dozens of tour guides working with us to bring you timeless moments that will stay with you well after you set foot back home.
We got the chance to catch up with some of them, and this is what they had to say!
“Hello! My name is Sandra Sanchez, and I do tours in Lima, Perú. I wanted to become a tour guide because I like history and everything that involves trying to understand the behavior of our ancestors.”
“And that’s not only here in Peru but in the world, too. I want to capture this, in a way, and share it. Being able to see how visitors are amazed when they better understand how our ancestors thought gives me a thousand years of life! That’s why I love what I do.”
“I think people who have never been to Peru should definitely start with Lima, the heart. Part of the country’s diversity is concentrated here. So, you will see what the locals are like. And we are proud to make this great city a thriving one. We are proud Peruvians.”
“On a tour with me, you can expect good conversation, laughter, making great memories, and some crying—especially during that Lima traffic! But most importantly, you can expect to have me as a local friend rather than a guide.”
“My typical itinerary always starts with a visit to Downtown Lima to see the Historical Center. From there, I adapt to whatever your needs and preferences are. The route accommodates what you want to see. My favorite travel memory was when a traveler told me she’d had big expectations about the tour, then she said that the tour had exceeded those expectations.”
“I encourage you all to check me out on the ALLMYNE app, especially if you want to see more than just the touristy places, see more of what Lima is really like. It’s about more than giving you information; it’s about taking you away for an unforgettable experience.”
Thank you, Sandra, for taking the time to tell us all about you! And stay tuned for another rendition of “Fresh Faces and New Places” with our next tour guide.
Happy traveling!
