To conclude this joyous and eventful year of travel, I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday. It’s been a fun time learning new things and sharing them with all of you! My role at ALLMYNE, as you know, is Editor in Chief. During December, I celebrate Christmas with my family, and we have plenty of traditions. We open presents on Christmas Day and watch a Christmas movie on Christmas Eve. When I was younger, on Christmas Eve we would go to see lights around the neighborhood in our pajamas, ending at Lights on the Lake, a local light display you drive through. Afterwards, we would snack and watch Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. We knew the movie inside and out, from continuity errors to classic lines. Then, my brother would go up to bed after leaving a cookie and milk for Santa. My favorite part of the holiday season is giving gifts. The exact instant someone someone opens up something I’ve been dying to give them and seeing their reaction makes the whole year of stress worth it. Besides that, there is a specific moment that happens every Christmas Day that brings the joy out in me. My father moves the couch toward the tree, and Mom hands me a cup of hot chocolate. The minute the mug is in my hands, everything falls into place. Well, that’s the end of ALLMYNE 2023. On behalf of all of us here at ALLMYNE, we wish you a happy holiday and joyous new year.
