Life is but a bucket, and it’s on us to make the most of it, have fun, and be adventurous before kicking it. This is the exact emotion that inspired our latest collection—The Bucket List Series. We’ve broken down The Bucket List Series into five distinct stops. First, we’ll share five breathtaking sights to beef up your list, then we’ll go over awe-inspiring natural attractions to feast your eyes on. After this, we’ll take you on a journey with wildlife and its natural habitat and share destinations to help you live the human experience at its finest. Lastly, we’ll take to tomorrow by visiting the most technological cities on the planet. Let’s get started!

Mos Eisley. Starbase Yorktown. The Citadel of Ricks. Sci-fi tends to portray futuristic cities as either ultra-advanced or dystopian. But, here on planet Earth the cities of tomorrow can sometimes be more surreal than any CGI or cartoon construct. Do the futuristic cities within your grasp tickle your traveler’s curiosity? We have exactly the right thing to scratch that itch. Here are five futuristic destinations that belong on everyone’s bucket list.

#1. Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo has been leading the charge in all aspects of global innovation. From robotics to AI, you can bet that the capital of Japan is present. Heck, the city is even known for its forward fashion industry. If you’re visiting to experience a little taste of tomorrow, you should head for the Akihabara Electric Town and get acclimated to anime and video game culture. Shinjuku, the Toshiba Science Museum, and Odaiba (which is literally a man-made island dedicated to technology in Tokyo Bay) should also be at the top of your list!

#2. Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki as a whole can be considered a technological marvel. After all, the city is a hub of tech startups, innovative companies, and new-wave organizations like the Korkeasaari Zoo, which proposes an interesting blend of technology and nature. The Museum of Technology offers a unique glimpse into the entire country’s tech history while detailing the relationship between Helsinki’s growth, its focus on innovation, and the numerous science-based projects scattered around the city.

#3. Amsterdam, Holland

Originally known for having forward-thinkers, Amsterdam’s technology has long caught up with the Dutch capital’s philosophies. Amsterdam has a famed reputation for its many historical museums, narrow buildings, and canals that snake out of the city. However, some of the city’s most visited attractions actually revolve around technology. Take the NEMO Science Museum for an example, which offers an interactive experience on a wide range of tech topics. If you’re lucky, you may also be able to catch one of the events organized by the folks over at A Lab Amsterdam or even The Next Web Expo, which has been gathering the most innovative minds in the world for almost two decades.

#4. Seoul, South Korea

You’ve probably heard the expression “Korea’s Got Seoul.” But did you know that Seoul has more advanced technology than almost everywhere else in the world? Besides having a tech-savvy culture (which translates to other technology nuts), you have a plethora of places to visit and digital experiences to live. A great example of this is Samsung D’light, an interactive exhibition that’s powered by the smartphone maker’s powerful tech. Still don’t feel like you’re stepping into tomorrow? Check out the KT IoT Museum, COEX Mall, or the DMC Gallery, and you’ll see some of the most advanced technology in the world.

#5. Tallinn, Estonia

From one of the first to provide free public Wi-Fi to the first global e-residency initiative in the world, there is no denying that Estonia is a futuristic country. At the heart of all its tech initiatives lies Tallinn, the country’s main innovation and financial hub. But why is Tallinn attractive for travelers who want a taste of the future? Tallinn was founded in the medieval era, which gives it a unique combination of old and new. It’s among the greenest capitals in Europe too, so you can visit the futuristic business center with high-rises, wander the Hanseatic Old Town district, and enjoy some of the most scenic cityscapes in the continent while at it.
